With excellent printers, make the transition from Datamax to Honeywell easy for your customers! We have two convincingly powerful arguments that remove all doubts: the new PD45 and PM45 industrial label printers! They are easily integrated into your customers’ various work areas and inspire with many features and great printing power!
For work areas with high demands and tough working conditions, the PD45 is made for the job: The tougher the environment on the job, the more comfortable the printer feels!
The PD45 is the perfect industrial label printer for anyone who wants to print PCX, PNG, GIF and BMP files as well as labels and values a robust printer that doesn’t require a lot of space. Honeywell designed the PD45 with a minimum of internal mechanical parts and a durable metal frame structure that easily withstands shocks and increased bumps.
The powerful features of the PD45 include an easily replaceable industrial print head that supports both, direct thermal and thermal transfer printing. Furthermore, an 800 MHz Arm Cortex-A7 processor, 128 MB flash and 128 MB DDR3 SDRAM provide high printing power. The maximum printing speed is approximately 200 mm/sec. at 203 dpi or 100 mm/sec. at 300 dpi.
For very accurate label printing, the PD45 uses Honeywell’s patented dual sensor positioning technology. This enables a positional accuracy of a phenomenal 0.5 mm and prints labels down to a minimum label height of 5 mm with complete reliability – perfect for printing labels in the lab! In addition, a dual media guide ensures easy paper feeding and helps prevent ribbon wrinkles and print smudges.
For work areas with high customer traffic and quickly changing tasks, the PM45 is perfect: It is flexible and adapts to the needs of your customers!
With the PM45, your customers get an industrial label printer that enhances printing efficiency and provides more transparency in supply chains. For this purpose, it creates barcodes, texts and images (even on small mainboard labels and labels for medical devices) with a maximum printing speed of up to 350 mm/sec. at 203 dpi. Other resolutions include 300 dpi at 300 mm/sec., 406 dpi at 250 mm/sec. and high-resolution 600 dpi at 150 mm/sec.
Using Honeywell Smart Parse software, it is possible to make quick position and size changes to objects, barcodes or fonts without the need for back-end system changes or programming knowledge. Additionally, the printing accuracy of the PM45 is up to +/- 0.5 mm.
As a highly networked industrial printer, the PM45 has best-in-class WAN connectivity to enable on-site use and may be optionally expanded with RFID, parallel, industrial and applicator interfaces. This allows it to remain flexible even in the event of unforeseen requirements. It also supports Operational Intelligence, variable network protocols and multiple printer languages – making system integration child’s play in your customers’ businesses, whether it’s a cloud-based system or a local server.
The Datamax E-, M-, I- and H-class printers will be discontinued by Honeywell later this year. However, this does not mean that your customers will have to do without the high reliability and excellent quality of label printing from now on. Honeywell has already ensured that switching to equivalent printer models is as easy as it is efficient.
Get started with Honeywell now and become part of the great printer transition. Convince your customers in a direct comparison of the new printer models that combine the best features of Datamax and Honeywell printers.
Your customers will find two excellent alternatives for the E-Class in the PC43 and PC42 Series printers. They are available as direct thermal and thermal transfer variants as required and quickly produce labels and tags with a maximum width of 110 mm up to 200 mm/sec. They also offer other versatile features and a compact design that allows them to fit comfortably into cramped workspaces.
With so much printing power, everyone likes a change: the reliable PM42 printers produce up to 15,000 labels a day at a printing speed of 300 mm/sec. and are easily operated and quickly configured via their colour display, also via a web interface. The PD43 printers with a metal housing, on the other hand, save space, handle various emulations such as IPL, DPL, EPL, ZPL, C# and Fingerprint and are compatible with 1", 1.5" and 3" roll cores.

If you liked the I-Class, you’ll love the PM45! The label printer impresses with an enhanced printing speed of 350 mm/sec. and no longer requires a host PC to perform a print operation. It is also suitable for standalone applications and offers remote configuration and updating via PrintSet and Operational Intelligence, as well as 4G LTE connectivity and a drop-in replacement.
The H-Class is replaced by the reliable PXie Series and the PX940, which prints faultlessly. Both printers have a lot to offer your customers: The PX940 prints completely error-free labels at a maximum printing speed of 350 mm/sec. and has a print roller that is conveniently replaced without tools. Also, both the PX940 and the PXie Series printers no longer require a host PC for printing.
