What does SteadyLAN do?
SteadyLAN technology from Star improves the connection and constant communication between iOS devices, such as an iPad and iPhone, at your customers’ POS in retail and hospitality. It greatly simplifies the controlling of the mC-Print receipt printer and the connected peripherals. Plus, it provides an Ethernet connection to the tablets and mobile devices via the printer’s wired Ethernet port.
Increases reliability!
Another noteworthy benefit of SteadyLAN technology: it ensures constant connection even at locations with no or very unreliable WLAN availability. It has the stability of a corded LAN connection for tablet POS systems and connects the printer directly with the network. This ensures that communication hardly ever gets interrupted and that WLAN and Bluetooth connectivity problems, as well as your customers’ support questions, are reduced.
Gets along with everyone!
Star’s SteadyLAN technology is available for existing mC-Print printers via a firmware update, as well as for all new mC-Print printers, for example, for the models mCP21LB, mCP31L and mCP31LB of the mC-Print3 Series. This way, your customers are not bound to a particular model, so they may choose the printer that best matches their requirements.
Expand and enhance your retail and hospitality customers’ iOS connections – with the new Star SteadyLAN technology and the receipt printers of the mC-Print Series.
mC-Print Series
The receipt printers of the Star mC-Print Series are clearly characterized on the market by their large variety of interfaces for the traditional and tablet POS. Additionally, as true connectivity experts, they offer a unique iOS lightning cable port from Star, via which the direct corded data transfer between Apple iOS devices and the printer occurs – with SteadyLAN also via network access using the Ethernet port.
Always connected, with or without a cable!
Via the standard included USB cable your customers easily connect the POS tablets to the mC-Print printers. This provides a reliable internet connection, even without WLAN connectivity. Plus, the tablets communicate directly with the printer while they charge, via USB and LAN. Yet even when you undock the tablet from the printer the WLAN connection remains, and when the Bluetooth printer model is installed, you may also use Bluetooth to control the printer.
