Wrong, according to the new V1000 models from Colormetrics.
The new series consists of the V1506, the V1500 and the V1200, named for their corresponding screen sizes. But what you will notice first is their vertical design: the all-in-one POS systems not only add an elegant look, but also reduce spatial requirements and the footprint.
Interior design with Colormetrics
Their sleek design makes these devices the ideal candidates for the POS with limited space, or one with a minimalistic atmosphere. With the V1000 Series you particularly speak to customers who, up to now, were forced to compromise – on traditional POS systems which did not aesthetically fit the POS, or ones which simply required too much room. If need be, the footprint may be optionally reduced to 431 cm2!
Individual contact point
The touch screen of the V1000 is fixed to the stand and is either resistive or capacitive – depending on which one your customers prefer. The resistive variant is a good choice for many restaurants and fast food localities in which screens are routinely operated with gloves or a stylus. The capacitive variant, on the other hand, is equipped with a robust glass surface and particularly feels right at home at the classic retail POS.
Inside and out
Despite the powerful Intel Celeron J1900 Quad Core processor, the V1000 does not use mechanical ventilation, which leads to especially quiet, low wear operation. Additionally, Colormetrics offers a broad spectrum of accessories, including barcode scanners, customer displays or RFID modules.
