Thanks to highly durable pigment inks and certified materials, the labels are both functional and visually appealing.

Retail: Efficient, full-colour printing of product and shelf labels in variable formats and quantities, directly on site. Flexible display of colour-highlighted information such as allergens, nutrition indicators, farming methods and promotions – all in photo print quality.

Textiles: Printing of washable, self-adhesive or sew-in labels on specially coated fabric materials for carpets, mattresses and clothing.

Food & Beverages: In-house production of durable, food-contact-certified and brilliantly coloured labels with variable data. They are water-, oil- and liquid-resistant (C series) or particularly scratch-resistant (D series).

Chemicals & Laboratories: Flexible printing of label formats is ideal for both small test tube labels and large GHS labels. Smudge-, water- and chemical-resistant materials, BS5609-certified inks, and colour-coded warnings, logos and variable data ensure long-lasting, professional labels.

Medical/Pharma: Printing durable labels for medicines, cosmetics, laboratory samples and patient wristbands. Coloured markings, small fonts and high-resolution barcodes ensure high legibility and fast identification while reducing error risk.

Cosmetics: Outstanding print quality of up to 1,200 × 1,200 dpi and extremely saturated black tones enable small text and photorealistic images to be printed.

Ticketing/Event/Visitor Management: Printing personalised visitor badges, tickets and name tags with photos, logos, colour codes and QR codes for easy identification – including advertising messages and agenda highlights.

Production: From decorative labels for consumer goods to EU energy labels – on-demand label printing reduces storage requirements. In addition, large-volume ink bags enable reliable and fast printing over long periods of time.

Logistics: High-quality printing of barcodes, coloured logos and text, even in small font sizes.

Help your customers add a touch of vibrancy to their black-and-white labels with minor adjustments to their ZPL driver. Epson’s ColorWorks C8000, C6000 and C4000 series colour printers make it easy to enhance ZPLII label templates. By adding colourful elements, labels become striking eye-catchers that draw the attention of end customers and optimally showcase your customers’ products.

The ColorWorks ESC/Label control language allows the combination of colourful elements such as logos, product images, or important text information with standard information. This results in labels that clearly and colourfully communicate your customers’ brand message, create a distinctive appearance, and delight end customers.

The versatility of the Epson ColorWorks series enables the realisation of creative and individual designs. Your customers’ C#, .Net, and Java developers use ESC/Label and the ZPL commands it contains to develop specific applications for colour printing. With these functions, image registration and printing are possible – allowing for the creation of tailored applications for ZPL label requirements.

  1. Adjust the PNG image to the correct size and resolution.
  2. Start the »Printer Settings« utility via the Windows Start menu and configure the printer to the correct ZPL print resolution.
  3. Use Labelary.com to set up a ZPL shell.
  4. Use a hex editor to display the colour image data in HEX format and then insert it into the ZPL shell.
  5. Once the ZPL and binary image data have been merged, print the file.
