This combination delivers the computing power needed for demanding applications – including AI capabilities such as voice translation, transcription, or the use of generative assistants. At the same time, support for current and future Android versions provides a sustainable foundation, secured by LifeGuard for Android, Zebra’s promise of security and updates throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Another highlight of the ZEC500 is the integration of Wireless Workstation Connect. Employees wirelessly pair their Zebra mobile devices with the ZEC500. They then choose to mirror their content to a larger screen or transform the device into a full desktop workstation – complete with connected peripherals. Best of all, the mobile device’s functions continue to operate normally, ensuring that no call, message, or alert is missed.

Whether in climate-controlled retail stores, drive-through counters, airport terminals, or warehouse halls: the ZEC500 is designed for a variety of environments. The standard version covers a temperature range from 0° to +40 °C, while the extended version operates from -29° to +60 °C. With IP54 protection, it is secured against dust and splashes. Its compact, VESA-compliant design allows for discreet installation – on walls, behind monitors, under counters, or in mobile kiosk systems.

The ZEC500 may be fully configured, monitored, and secured through standard MDM/EMM solutions. This ensures full transparency into system status at all times, enabling issues to be resolved before they cause downtime. Additionally, Identity Guardian ensures that only authorised employees have access.

With guaranteed availability for four years, service options of up to eight years, and robust design, the ZEC500 is not only powerful but also durable and a sustainable investment. The KC50 comes with either a 15″ or 22″ FHD touch display, features an anti-smudge coating, and a housing protected to IP65 standards. With Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C with DP ALT mode, and optional PoE power supply, it offers outstanding connectivity. When needed, an SE4720 scanner may be integrated via the Z-Flex port.

The KC50’s biggest advantage lies in its modularity: companies can configure more than 1,000 combinations – from displays and scanners to printers, NFC readers, and payment systems, even LED light strips. This allows the kiosk system to be tailored precisely to the needs of retail, hospitality, healthcare, transportation, logistics, and warehousing.

Like all Zebra devices, the KC50 is based on the Android Enterprise platform and leverages Zebra DNA tools.
