Scanning made easy
With the DS8178-HC, Zebra provides your customers an extremely powerful 1D/2D wireless area imager with an 800 MHz microprocessor. Thanks to its high-resolution megapixel sensor (960 x 1,280 resolution) and exclusive PRZM technology, it even captures hard-to-read barcodes. The internal diagnosis of the scanning performance ensures that no errors creep in during scanning.
Robust data protection
Protection of patient data is extremely important, particularly in the healthcare sector. That’s why the DS8178-HC effectively protects all information from unauthorised access in accordance with FIPS 140-2. Plus, the area imager itself is protected: its special housing is made of robust plastic and concealed screw holes. This prevents the spread of bacteria and ensures easy cleaning.

With Zebra’s Wi-Fi-friendly mode, the DS8178-HC only uses channels which are not being used by the WLAN. This prevents Bluetooth interference and ensures a smooth, good connection.

TC52-HC – Mobile computer with a smartphone look
The Android mobile touch computer TC52-HC convinces your customers with a practical push-to-talk function and highly sensitive high-volume speakers for filtering out disturbing ambient noise. Its top performance is ensured by a 2.2 GHz Qualcomm octa-core processor, 4 GB RAM and 32 GB memory, as well as Bluetooth 5.0 and modern WLAN technology. The 5 megapixel front camera is VLC-compatible and the 13 megapixel rear camera is ideal for documentation purposes.
ZD510-HC – User-friendly printer
With the Zebra ZD510-HC, your customers enjoy an extremely user-friendly direct thermal wristband printer. It prints patient wristbands for adults, children and infants with all necessary data for a quick exchange of information. It is up to 51 mm/sec. fast and achieves a print resolution of 300 dpi – ideal for very small font sizes. It is also standard equipped with Ethernet, USB, Bluetooth Low Energy and a USB host. WLAN and Bluetooth 5.0 are optional.
ZQ600-HC Series – Mobile label printers
The mobile printers of the Zebra ZQ600-HC Series excite with very good performance and disinfectant-resistant housing. For easy connection to the network (or host device) they use the interfaces WLAN, Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy. Also, a practical colour display with status indication ensures easy navigation and handling. The ZQ610-HC prints wristbands up to 48 mm and the ZQ620-HC prints up to 72 mm wide.

UDI improves traceability
According to the legal regulation for the traceability of medical products, these products must have a unique identification possibility: a UDI label. »UDI« stands for »Unique Device Identification«. The system ensures worldwide uniform product marking of medical products. This ensures traceability from production to transport and usage, up to disposal. Plus, this transparency within the supply chain enables your customers to promptly sort out faulty products and improve service at the point of care.
Up-to-date with Zebra
Zebra has intently studied this topic and developed a special barcode capturing technology for its customers, which is already integrated into Zebra healthcare scanners and terminals ex works. This makes it easy to scan UDI labels in hospitals, for example, and store the data in the hospital’s electronic systems within seconds – reducing the error rate enormously.

The label combination
The UDI label consists of two parts: the device identifier (DI) includes the labeler (or model) of a device as an integral part of the UDI. The variable production identifier (PI) contains various data of a medical product, such as the batch or lot number of the production, the serial number and the unique identification code.
