Can you quickly name one great thing that helps your customers stay on top of things? You don’t have to think twice, we’ll tell you one: it’s called the QuickScan QD2500.
At the POS in retail, speed is essential. There is always a lot to scan and not every barcode is like the other. It’s easy to lose track of everything. In order to keep retail customers from having to wait long, it is important that the retail staff rely on a reliable scanner. The omni-directional 2D imager QuickScan QD2500 lives up to its name at the POS. It is easy to install via USB, RS-232 and KBW interfaces and optional USB-C, and it scans 1D, 2D, postal and even Digimarc barcodes incredibly quickly and extremely accurately – whether they are difficult to read, poorly printed or damaged. It also captures barcodes from mobile phones and tablets, and even through plexiglas screens that separate retail employees from customers.
Scans extremely preciselyWhen you recommend a scanner to your customers, you also want to give them the assurance that it delivers what it promises. So, here are the arguments to match: The new QuickScan QD2500 is an attractively priced precision tool that scans with absolute confidence. It captures barcodes with warm-red light – which is particularly gentle on the eyes of employees who do a lot of scanning all day. Thanks to the scanning angle of +/- 65° and a movement tolerance of 30 IPS, the 2D imager captures barcodes in a large radius. It targets them with its aiming device, which consists of two blue, sharply defined triangles. The two triangles clearly show the user where the scanner is pointing. If the barcode is successfully scanned, this is confirmed by Datalogic’s »Green Spot« technology with a clearly visible green dot exactly in the middle of the barcode between the two triangles. Additionally, the successful scan may be confirmed by an adjustable signal tone.

Changes modes automaticallyThe QuickScan not only reads barcodes reliably and quickly. It also detects just as quickly whether the retail employee wants to scan an item in manual reading mode or in presentation mode. It then automatically switches to the desired mode – which is practical and saves time over the course of the day. Advanced Motionix motion detection technology from Datalogic makes this possible.
Handles and withstands wellTo ensure that so much great technology fits comfortably in the hand, Datalogic has designed the housing of the lightweight 145 gram QuickScan QD2500 to be even more ergonomic. And, as things can get hectic at the sales counter, the 2D imager is robust: it is not affected by drops from a height of up to 1.5 metres and is also protected against the intrusion of dust and water in accordance with IP52.
After so many convincing arguments, you only need to consider whether to recommend the QuickScan QD2500 with black or white housing to your customers. It looks great in either colour, so place your order directly with your sales representative!
