Code Read – Granit 199xiXLR

Honeywell’s new 2D scanners Granit 199xiXLR are ready for the mission: »Capturing long-distance barcodes in bright sunlight«.

Your customers in warehousing, transport, logistics and manufacturing have a very demanding mission for you. They want you to get them a virtually indestructible scanner that captures barcodes just as well at long range as it does at close range in almost any condition – even in bright sunlight! This mission is impossible? No! Honeywell has developed the new, enormously robust Granit 199xiXLR Extended Range imagers to do just that. With their innovative daylight targeting system, they also detect barcodes at a distance of 24 m in bright sunlight!

Licence for XLR scanning

Anyone who wants to reliably scan 1D and 2D barcodes on a grand scale in warehousing, transport, logistics and manufacturing decides in favour of the new Granit 199xiXLR! The Extended Range imagers are available as wired and wireless versions and impress in the most diverse areas with their improved depth of field. They are equipped with a high-resolution sensor and have improved decoding algorithms for fast and accurate barcode reading. The Granit 199xiXLR are absolutely reliable in capturing 1D/2D barcodes as well as PDF, Postal, Digimarc, DOT codes and OCR – and they do so precisely both in the near field and at a great distance. This versatility makes them perfect for your customers’ demanding operations!

Made for rough environments

The new Granit scanners have undergone a tough training. So not only do they capture barcodes exceptionally well, they’re also ready for almost impossible scanning tasks in your customers’ demanding environments! Honeywell designed them for tough jobs, where things are often hectic and barcode capture devices are not exactly squeamish. They are IP67-certified, so they are fully protected against dust and withstand brief submersion in water. The window of the scanners is small, scratch- and shock-resistant and very deeply recessed. This prevents dust and moisture from entering the housing and impairing scanning performance. The Granit 119xi XLR withstands drops from a height of 3 metres. They still function perfectly after 7,000 drops from a height of 1 m and work reliably at operating temperatures from -30 °C to 50 °C.
