In order for the consumer to have the freshest possible fruit, the time between harvest and sale may not exceed 24 hours. That significantly complicates reliable, transparent labelling: articles must be inspected, sorted, weighed and then immediately packed – transporting them to the printer for labelling purposes would cost too much time.
