Epson developed the ColorWorks D6000/D6500 series specifically for this purpose. The colour label printers are based on the successful ColorWorks C6000/C6500 series, but have a different ink set and focus even more on brilliant colour reproduction. The dye-based ink used in the ColorWorks D series covers a wide colour spectrum and enables the production of labels with even more vibrant colours, deeper blacks and striking contrasts, with excellent dry abrasion resistance on glossy materials – ideal for high-quality branding and labels that need to make a strong visual impact. The pigmented inks of the ColorWorks C series, on the other hand, are the perfect choice when maximum UV and chemical resistance is required. They are GHS-compliant and BS5609-certified.
The Epson ColorWorks D6000/D6500 series offers your customers numerous features for implementing practical and creative solutions. It supports material widths from 25.4 to 112 mm (4 inches) for the CW-D6000 and from 25.4 to 215.9 mm (8 inches) for the CW-D6500. Both models are available with either an integrated peeler or an auto cutter, which allows flexible label lengths from 15 to 3,000 mm.
Thanks to the dye-based inks, a wide colour gamut can be reproduced, especially on glossy media. The colour matching functions (ICC profile and spot colour matching tool) ensure excellent reproduction of special colours, for example in company logos.
All models in the ColorWorks C6000/C6500 and D6000/D6500 series enable flexible colour printing on demand, use individual cartridges and may be operated via an intuitive 2.7″ display on the front. The media rolls are changed from the front, right and left. They are also compatible with Windows, Linux, macOS/iOS, Android and SAP ABAP and have a web interface for managing multiple printers in a network, remote configuration, control and maintenance.
