With the Skorpio X5 XLR, Datalogic has brought an even more powerful model variant of its legendary keyed mobile computer ­Skorpio X5 onto the market: one that steps out of the shadow of its predecessor. The Skorpio X5 XLR is a master in capturing barcodes from greater distances and is thereby ideal for demanding use in large warehouses with high bays, as well as in transportation, manufacturing and logistics.

This scanner is very ambitious
The Skorpio X5 XLR captures 1D/2D barcodes in both printed and digital form in nearly any condition from up to 20 m in mere seconds! This saves warehouse workers tons of time, while increasing their productivity. With the Skorpio X5 XLR they also scan barcodes from packages on the top shelves in high bay warehouses – from the floor, without the aid of a ladder or a lift truck. Workers only need to stop their forklift briefly to scan barcodes. A clear, acoustic and visual good scan feedback confirms their scan – which means they simply continue to the next scan up higher, without having to leave their forklift.

Doesn’t even falter in special situations
In case the Skorpio X5 XLR falls out of the forklift driver’s hand, there’s no need to worry: the Skorpio X5 XLR has been very robustly designed and withstands a lot. Its 4.3″ display is equipped with scratch- and impact-resistant Gorilla Glass 3. Additionally, the mobile computer is IP65-certified, making it dust- and waterproof, as well as impact-resistant from 1.8 m onto concrete. Extra bumpers on all corners, plus a specially developed rubber sleeve further reinforce the housing.
