Some superheroes in the comics have several costumes for different uses. So do the two Zebra tablets ET40 and ET45. The ET40-HC and ET45-HC versions have nearly the same functions as the ET40 and ET45 models, but Zebra has added a few extras: The two healthcare helpers are encased in armour made of sturdy plastic, which has been specially developed for the often vital operations in the healthcare sector. The housing, which is blue on the back and white on the front, is resistant to disinfectants and easily withstands regular cleaning with disinfectants. It is also dust-proof and water-proof according to IP65. A fully programmable emergency call button may be used to automatically call for help in the field or to start a medical emergency app.
The equipment of the tablets is impressive: Both have an Android operating system. It is supported up to Android 14, making them a long-term investment. A Qualcomm octa-core processor running at up to 2.2 GHz ensures outstanding performance for any everyday hero job. This is complemented by 4 GB RAM and 64 GB memory, standard, but they are also available with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB.
The ET40 with an 8″ display has a powerful (23.61 Wh) PowerPrecision battery from Zebra, that of the model with the 10″ display has an even higher capacity (29.41 Wh). A second hot-swappable battery (25.84 Wh) is also available as an option, and is capable of doubling the overall battery capacity. Thus, both have real power for many heroic tasks – from shift to shift to shift!
For fast barcode scanning, the tablets have an integrated barcode scanner: the SE4100 and SE4710 scan modules are ideal for shorter distances; for longer distances, the SE55 scan module with IntelliFocus technology is used.
