Shield-FAQ

Who receives support through Shield? Shield is part of the existing Datalogic EASEOFCARE (EoC) contracts for mobile computers. As an alternative, Shield software may be purchased separately.

When should I offer Shield to my customers? Ideally, together with a new Datalogic Android mobile computer.

My customer does not have a Shield subscription, but wants a full Android system update? Full Android system updates are available only to Shield subscribers.

What is the difference between Datalogic Shield and Android Enterprise Recommended (AER) from Google? With AER, Google presents selected mobile computers that meet defined requirements. The AER-designated mobile computers are labelled »Enterprise Ready« or »Enterprise Recommended« by Google.
