When developing the CK62 and CK67, Honeywell paid particular attention to various factors. One of these is ease of use. After all, anyone who handles heavy boxes every day in the warehouse or is often out and about in the field needs reliable devices that perform what the user wants quickly and precisely – and that fit comfortably in the hand all day long. Honeywell mobile computers feature a lightweight and rugged housing in a modern, slim form factor and are equipped with an ergonomic scan handle that fits almost any hand shape. Another important development focus was barcode capture, which is becoming increasingly important in times of digital growth. For this reason, depending on the model, the mobile computers are equipped with either a Honeywell FlexRange XLR, FlexRange or Standard Range imager (CK67) or a FlexRange XLR or Standard Range scan engine (CK62), enabling fast capture of 1D and 2D barcodes. The capture of DPM barcodes is optionally possible with the appropriate licence. The special feature of the innovative FlexRange XLR scan engine is its long reading range of 8 centimetres (3 inches) up to 24 metres (80 feet).
Whether dropped on hard warehouse floors or used in the rain during field service – thanks to their rugged design, Honeywell mobile computers can withstand many external influences and ensure smooth work processes. The CK67 is fully protected against the ingress of dust and water in accordance with IP65/IP68 and can withstand drops from a height of up to 2.4 metres across operating temperature without any problems. The CK62 is convincing with its IP65-certified housing, which is protected against the ingress of dust and water jets and can withstand multiple drops from a height of up to 1.8 metres with ease.
