The Challange<\/strong><\/span>
\nFor the operation and maintenance of the water network in Linz, as well as in the neighbouring communities, the field service technicians depend on reliable communication with the responsible planning office. That\u2019s why LINZ SERVICE GmbH requires extremely robust mobile devices, such as the Getac S410 notebook and the F110 tablet, which withstand the sometimes very adverse working conditions at all times and are easy to handle.<\/p>\n

The solution
\n<\/strong><\/span>With the introduction of the workforce management software from Mettenmeier, in combination with the corresponding hardware from Getac, LINZ SERVICE GmbH has greatly digitalised its processes. Mobile devices from Getac have been used in the operation and maintenance of the water supply since 2017. The fully robust F110 tablets and the semi-rugged S410 notebooks are the basis for an intelligent workforce management software from Mettenmeier GmbH.<\/p>\n

Data retrieval and display are flawless, due to the high performance of the devices combined with reliable connectivity and the large touchscreen. Thanks to the innovative LumiBond technology, the display is very easy to read, even in direct sunlight; various touch modes for rain, glove and stylus operation ensure optimum sensitivity in almost any environment. This makes the processing of daily tasks, from planning in the office to execution on-site, significantly more efficient.<\/p>\n
