A special advantage is that you do not have to see the transponder for capturing. This allows the user to easily and securely capture difficult-to-access items.

You see, your customers no longer have to hold the reader directly in front of the label and make sure that there is no obstacle in between. This makes data capture much more convenient: simply bring the reader to the proximity of the transponder and the data is recorded.
But there are more advantages: RFID readers capture many transponders at once. If, for example, the purchaser packs all his products into a crate and passes them past the reader, RFID technology detects all the transponders at once, and your customer immediately has all the data in passing, so to speak. Even dirt or wear, which makes an optical barcode detection difficult, are not an interference.

The basics of RFID technology

An RFID transponder (also RFID tag) consists of an electronic circuit, which acts as data storage. The most common RFID transponders are read-only and read/write versions. For read-only transponders, information may only be added once; a read/write transponder, on the other hand, also allows subsequent modification of the data.
Furthermore, there are passive, semi-passive and active tags. Passive RFID tags do not have their own power supply. Here, the energy is transmitted by radio from the reader to the tag. In contrast, semi-passive tags have their own power supply and active tags are able to send their stored data on request, whereas semi-passive tags are unable to. Here, the send command comes from the reader.

The DLR-BT001 reader provides independence

The Bluetooth RFID reader is particularly suitable for mobile use, due to its small size and weight of only 57 grams. The DLR-BT001 then reliably transfers the data read to an end device of your choice, such as a tablet, MDA or laptop. This makes the scanning process simpler, since the products remain in the basket and do not have to be removed by the staff.

Not only at the checkout, but also in warehouses your customers are able to take inventory. For this purpose, the DLR-DK001 is placed on the shelf of a sales rack or rack frame. There, it reliably reads the tags (from a distance of 90 cm) which are attached to the goods.
