With its robust housing, the EC50\/EC55 is able to withstand all kinds of hindrances in daily work. Its IP67-rated housing is entirely protected against dust and even withstands being submerged under water for a short time \u2013 so it easily handles an overturned glass on a restaurant table. Should it fall off the table or out of the user\u2019s pocket, it is reliably protected by the optional protective cover from a height of up to 1.5 m.
